• “Leave your name (enunciate it),
• Leave a number to reach you,
• and a detailed message of where you are & who is talking to you (ICE? Police? Statey? Someone else?) so we can send the right lawyer to represent you.

What UnionLegal#23 does is this:

-We take your message, to lawyers in your area/that-jurisdiction, to call you back on the provided phone number.
-Any costs will be between you and the lawyer who calls you back.
-UnionLegal#23 is NOT EXPECTED to cover any legal costs, but WILL (if funds are available) HELP COVER THE FIRST 20-30minutes of that lawyer helping you get out of that situation. (Buying these wristbands, helps us, cover the costs of these 20-30minutes, when funds are available).
-UnionLegal#23 does NOT have lawyers in all 50 states and 3+ North American Countries (yet). So we take your message, and then start reaching out to available lawyers around your area to call you back and offer their services. This way, you’re not standing in front of ICE or cops trying to google a lawyer and look up their credentials. We do that when you leave us your message and start calling lawyers to call back the number you provided. Which is why it’s important we know your “name, number, and jurisdiction(also known as: “where you are at and who is talking to you.” is it ICE in DC? is it State Trooper talking to you in Alaska (if so, which highway)? Is it local cop in Downtown Dallas (extra points if you can tell us their badge number)? So we can reach out to the proper lawyers in THAT area to be able to call you back and represent you and/or go to you if applicable). So THAT lawyer, can request the badge number/state trooper off which highway, to help find you if they take you to a different location.

The goal is: “To help you survive/make it out of that first interaction. so you can go home, rest, and then start shopping around for lawyers that you want to represent you. We are a phone number on a wristband that you call when ICE approaches you and tries to detain you before even asking you your name. We are a number on a wristband that you call that inspires cops to stop any further questions without you talking to them through a lawyer; or else risk being told in court that they kept going without you having a lawyer present. We are an emergency phone number (like 911) on a wristband that you can call to help initiate getting you a lawyer when you don’t have one. After you get out of that first interaction, it’s up to you, if you want to keep that lawyer or get a different one for court. The goal is to get you out of that interaction with ICE/cops and be able to go home. We can’t guarantee 100% success rate, but as we grow, we will be able to offer higher and higher success rates. Help get the wristband now so we can help more tomorrow.”

UnionLegal#23 covers all of North America and for that- does NOT- give out legal advice, directly (because we don’t have lawyers yet in all 50 states and all provinces of Canada & Mexico yet. So what’s written here CANNOT be taken as legal advice).
We (UnionLegal#23) are who you call, when you need a lawyer now, and don’t have a phone number to a lawyer. You call UnionLegal#23, and UnionLegal#23 will do its best to find you a good-helpful-affordable lawyer IN YOUR AREA, that can help you get out of that first interaction(s) with ICE or Cops. So you can keep saying: “I will only talk to you through my lawyer. I need to call the number on my wristband to get to a lawyer.” We want to give you the ability to say in court: “I invoked my right to a lawyer and (if applicable:>) was not allowed to talk to one for days as I was detained, while the number was on my wristband to access one.” (Note:> We will continue trying to find you a lawyer for up to a week after a message was left with us. If you got out of that first interaction? Please leave us a message saying that you do not need us to call for anymore lawyers (or else we will stop only after a week.)

You do not have to talk to ICE alone. Nor should you.
Don’t talk to Cops, Don’t talk to ICE, Don’t talk to these folks,
without a lawyer present doing the talking for you.

Do they say they have a warrant? Cool. Talk through a lawyer.
Do they say ____? Cool. Confirm through talking through a lawyer.
Do they say ____ to you requesting a lawyer? Cool. You wanna confirm that through a lawyer; so again; ‘I invoke my right to consult with a lawyer.’
DON’T TALK ALONE! TALK THROUGH A LAWYER!
ARE YOU BEING DETAINED IN A ROOM BY YOURSELF AND EVEN BEING FILMED!? “I invoke my right to consult with a lawyer. I’ll only talk through a lawyer.”

If masked men calling themselves ICE approaches you and starts asking you your name and trying to detain you before even knowing your name? What do you say? “I invoke my right to consult with a lawyer. I invoke my right to talk to all of you, through a lawyer.”
If ICE says ____ what do you say? “I invoke my right to consult with a lawyer. Access to a lawyer’s number is on my wristband.”
If Cops say ____ what do you say? “I invoke my right to consult with a lawyer. Am I being detained? Am I free to go? I’m going to slowly reach into my pocket to call a lawyer.” (THEN RECORD (if safe and able) TILL THE LAWYERS COME! THEN RECORD (if safe and able) WHILE THE LAWYERS ARE THERE (UNLESS THEY (the lawyers) TELL YOU TO PUT IT DOWN).

We are your ‘911’ to ‘calling for a lawyer and letting us help you find one.’ It is recommended after making a call to us; to start calling for other lawyers in your area; while we start looking for one to send to you. Treat this number as a flare. A flare you launch when ICE or Cops approach you to start sending you a lawyer. After launching this flare (calling unionLegal#23) it’s recommended to keep calling other lawyers to have one instantly at that situation just in case. This way if you are being denied x y z, you at least, launched one flare to initiate legal help to be sent your way.

That way if the phone number they tried calling, no one answers, they can attempt to reach out to th seattle cops to reach their potential client (you). you NEED to pronounce/ENUNCIATE your name, phone number and who is talking to you where (is it ICE at your kids school in Salt Lake City Utah? is it ICE at the Miami Beach? we need your name, phone number, and who it is that you need lawyer help from. you must invoke your right to talk through a lawyer, this is key. then hush up unless talking through a lawyer. keep repeating you INVOKE YOUR RIGHT to talk to any of them through a lawyer.
